Kamil Bartnik

Kamil started playing drums at the age of 15, and having discovered a natural ability for the instrument, he went on to study at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford where he obtained a Bachelor of Music degree, with First Class Honours.

Prior to finishing his degree, he started getting work from his drum tutors Toby Drummond and Pete Riley, which helped to accelerate his career early on. Since leaving the ACM, Kamil has gone on to perform regularly in theatre shows both in the West End (Green Days’ American Idiot), and internationally with various touring shows.

Along with his busy schedule as a freelance drummer, Kamil has always devoted time to teaching his students when he began 4 years ago, and lessons are conducted both privately and in various schools in the London/Surrey areas. Alongside his personal teaching, he has recently written an educational drum book for an upcoming release with Level 42’s drummer, Pete Ray Biggin.

Kamil is currently involved in a number of original bands and projects that sees him recording in some of Londons’ most popular studios, such as Abbey Road and The Church Studios.
