Andrew Eveleigh
Drums
Andrew began playing drums in his mid-teens and performed his first school pop concert within just a few short months, igniting his passion for live performance.
After a decade of self tuition, he decided it was time to study the instrument more formally and completed his Diploma in Popular Music Performance at Tech Schools in London where he was awarded the highest prize of ‘Best Overall Student’ at graduation.
The following years have seen him providing the beats for countless bands and artists all around the country, gaining vast live performance experience with a range of function bands and original artists.
In more recent years Andrew has discovered a deep passion for jazz music. In order to expand his repertoire he became the house drummer and co-host for a very successful jazz jam in the Surrey area. In addition he can often be heard playing on the local circuit with numerous small band and vocal led line-ups.
Andrew’s passion for teaching is made evident by his enthusiastic approach: “In my opinion the most important thing a student can achieve is simply to feel happy when playing their instrument. My goal is to inspire you and make playing the drums fun, whatever age or level you’re at.”
